Artist Bio
Raised on the Gulf Coast in the city of Mobile, AL, Sarah moved to Charleston, SC in 2011 to pursue studies in the arts at the College of Charleston. There, she received her B.A. in Art History and Studio Art. In August of 2013, Sarah broke her back and learned to knit as a way to cope with the long term healing process. In the three and a half months that Sarah was clamped in a plastic shell she knitted everyday. Returning to complete her studies, Sarah decided to combine her passion for sculpture with her new love of knitting.
Sarah is currently based out of New York City where she completed her M.A. in Art Therapy at NYU. She is a board certified registered art therapist and a licensed creative art therapist and credentialed art therapy supervisor. She continues to create gallery and commission pieces while working as a psychotherapist at her solo practice in Brooklyn, NY.
You can currently see Sarah's artwork on display at Cole Pratt Gallery in New Orleans, LA.
